  Eric::

Eric is the founder, producer, director, webmaster,  and engineer of the Flicksation Podcast.  Since 2007,  Eric has made it a point to see as many Oscarworthy films as he can.  In 2009,  Eric began doing mini movie reviews for his Facebook friends with the intent of keeping a written record of his film exploits for his own personal reference.  As he saw the interest of his friends grow,  in 2010 he started his official film blog, Eric’s Flicks for all the world to see,  and scrutinize.  “I’ve been a fan of many movie related and otherwise podcasts for a few years now,  and I always felt I was a pretty good speaker,  so I decided the logical next step for me would be to create a podcast of my own.”  Eric has no film related or critical training,  but he has a love of film and making his opinions known.  When not working on Flicksation stuff,  Eric is probably reading comics,  playing guitar, golfing, curling,  or watching the Crew.  You can contact Eric directly at the Flicksation email address above.

  IAN::

Ian is a regular co-host of the Flicksation Podcast. He has joined the podcast in order to force him to more deeply analyze the films he sees and try to better articulate his opinions. He is in his 20’s, won’t divulge his location (out of fear that hordes of adoring fans will gather outside his home), and claims to have no special qualifications that should make you take his opinions any more seriously than anyone else’s. When released on DVD in 2001, Ian watched Tom Green’s FREDDY GOT FINGERED something like eleven days in a row……. He likes to believe his taste has improved since then.

Robert::

Robert loves film, podcasts, and conversations about movies. So, what better place than Flicksation to enjoy all three at once?! He has a healthy obsession with lists, rankings, and commas. He lists Alfred Hitchcock, Bill Murray, Woody Harrelson, and John Goodman as his favorite silver screen icons. He likes movies that straddle two genres like: drama-suspense, horror-comedy, or dramedy. But he’s also fascinated by foreign films, classic cinema, and lower budget productions, and has recently developed a growing appreciation for the horror and sci-fi categories. He sees film as a director’s medium and believes we are currently enjoying (yet, under-appreciating) the golden age of documentary film. Robert will never walk out of any movie before it’s over, and he’s a proponent of 3D and any technology that enhances the theater-going experience. Growing up, the movies that forever altered his perception of cinema were The Neverending Story, Batman, and Pulp Fiction. He furthered his movie interests by working at Blockbuster Video in high school, studying film in college, and becoming a background actor on movies and TV shows. He thinks the Oscars reflect his taste in movies about as accurately as the Grammys reflect his taste in music (hardly), but he still keeps tabs on all the awards shows just the same.

His favorite films include: Stand By Me, Raising Arizona, The Blues Brothers, The Shawshank Redemption, and The Big Lebowski

Tim (Wooly)::

 Tim enjoys talking about movies with friends and considers himself to be a bit of a movie geek. So when Eric asked him to join the Flicksation Podcast, it seemed like a natural fit. “My favorite movies tend to be comedy, action, and documentary. I try to avoid musicals like the plague.” You can also find Tim reviewing great places for food, drink, fun, travel, and adventure on his new show, Discovering The High Life. Cheers!

Jennifer::

My favorite thing to do besides work in the garden, cook and teach is to lay on the couch for a weekend and watch movies. I try to catch up on any indy movies that didn’t come to the Portage area (which is almost every indy movie). I love family films; Disney Pixar has done a great job gathering the family around a tub of popcorn on a Saturday night. I can do without the 3-D phenomenon and prefer movies in 2-D. I do, however,  love the 3-D IMAX. I am a geek for Greek mythology and love movies intertwined around that theme. I have taken a couple movie courses in my college days and because of that some movies are ruined for me when I dwell on the cigarette or drink being half-full and gone in the same scene. I’m also one of those people that waits for the after-show after the credits.  Poor cleaning crew, that one lady won’t leave again!

Favorite movies: Toy Story series, LOTR series, HUGE Harry Potter fan (yes I’ve been to Harry Potter world in Florida), Coraline, The Nightmare Before Christmas, really anything Tim Burton has done.

Guilty as Charged Movies: Cabaret, and Bruce Campbell movies….Ryan Reynolds and Chris Evans (yes I will be seeing The Green Lantern and Captain America :)

Bruce::

Bruce “Pockets” Christianson was born in a small town and grew up in a smaller town. He busted out of that shit like the head and shoulders of a newborn through a vagina, and now lives in Milwaukee, WI. Bruce now works saving the world one child at a time and is constantly chasing tail.
Bruce loves to snowboard, play basketball, go to live shows, and take long walks on the beach near sunset.
When it comes to movies,  Bruce loves anything that allows an emotional connection, makes him laugh, or looks really cool on the big screen. The first movie that changed Bruce’s life was The Never Ending Story. This movie opened his eyes to how powerful movies can be. Bruce’s all time favorite movies are Happy Gilmore, The Big Lebowski, The Salton Sea, It’s All Gone Pete Tong, Tron, Willy Wonka and the Chocolate Factory, and Natural Born Killers. ** Notice that there are no horror movies in the list. Bruce thinks those type of movies all suck, and if you wanna be scared you should jump out of an airplane or something cool.
If you, for some reason, want to know more about Bruce…suck it. This is all you get.
